URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Family Roots A.G.M on Thursday 2^nd April – CANCELLED

Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic and the guidance from Public Health England, the Family Roots Committee has decided to suspend monthly meetings until further notice.

The reports due at the AGM will now be circulated on line (or can be mailed if requested ) and a new programme of meetings and speakers introduced as soon as possible – but this is unlikely to be in less than six months.

We apologise for any disappointment this may cause. When we receive further guidance about when it is safe to hold meetings again we will keep you informed.

Our next meeting is on Thursday 5 March when Katherine Buckland will tell us about “The Story of Eastbourne Exhibition”. This popular exhibition in Terminus Road has been running for just over a year now. It tells the story of Eastbourne through the eyes of the real people who lived hereabouts and is a positive step towards creating a permanent local history museum for Eastbourne.
The meeting is on Thursday 5 March at Ocklynge School, Victoria Drive, Eastbourne BN20 8XN (entrance in Farlaine Rd). Doors open at 7pm with the meeting starting at 7.30pm. All welcome, members £1, visitors £2.50 includes tea/coffee and biscuits.
