Eastbourne District is made up of the parishes shown in the table  below.
This is a purely arbitrary definition, drawn up by Family Roots, to define the area within which we carry out our local research.

The activities and interests of Family Roots FHS, cover the much wider area of East Sussex and beyond. It is anticipated that this will overlap with areas covered by other Family History Societies. Where this occurs, it is our intention to co-operate with them to achieve our joint aims.

We cover the following areas:
